Seasonal Courier Driver — $24/hr

Our company is hiring a temporary courier in Fort St. John, BC, for up to 12 weeks depending on business needs. You will run package pick-ups and deliveries on an assigned route while representing the company professionally. Interviews are part of the hiring process.

Pay and schedule

• $24 per hour

• Seasonal assignment of up to 12 weeks

• You need to be available Monday to Saturday and can expect up to 5 working days a week

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages safely and on time along your assigned route

• Load your van, plan the route and keep packages, equipment and vehicles secure

• Check each shipment for correct labelling and paperwork and report stop counts and missorts

• Use the computerized tracking and dispatch systems and enter accurate information

• Answer customer questions about services and shipping requirements, and pass sales leads to the sales team

• Depending on the location and workload, you may also load or unload aircraft and containers and sort and scan packages

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• No experience required; one year in customer service is preferred

• A valid driver's licence (for example Class 5, G or 1 [AZ]) with no more than two violations or accidents in the last 24 months

• A customer-focused attitude

• Candidates are assessed on their annual driving record, their interview and driving evaluations
