Our company is hiring long haul Class 1 drivers out of Penticton, BC. Runs go into the USA and across Canada, hauling flat deck freight in your own assigned truck and trailer. The company says it has been in the hauling business for more than 30 years.
Pay
- $5,000.00-$8,500.00 per month
- Full-time, permanent position
What you'll do
- Inspect your truck before and after each trip and keep up the preventative maintenance checklist
- Pick up and deliver freight safely and efficiently
- Tarp and untarp loads and make sure cargo is secured to safety requirements
- Handle paperwork such as customs documents, packing lists and bills of lading
- Keep electronic logs and track the service and repair status of your vehicle
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns on your assigned equipment
Requirements
- Class 1 license with at least 2 years of Class 1 driving experience
- At least 1 year on flat deck
- Valid passport and the ability to cross the border
- Fluent spoken and written English, which the posting calls a new USA requirement
- Clean driver abstract, plus a criminal record search and a US DOT drug and alcohol screen
- Applicants from outside the continent will not be considered
