Seasonal Courier Driver — $24/hr

Our company is hiring a seasonal courier in Fort St. John, BC, to pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route. The position is temporary, lasting up to 12 weeks depending on business needs, and begins with an interview.

Pay and schedule

• $24 per hour

• You may work up to 5 days a week, so you need to be available Monday to Saturday

• Temporary assignment of up to 12 weeks

What you'll do

• Load your van, plan an efficient route and deliver and collect packages safely

• Check packages and paperwork for accuracy and correct labelling

• Use computerized tracking and dispatch systems to enter correct information

• Answer customer questions about our company services and pass along sales leads

• Help sort and scan packages and load or unload aircraft and containers when workload requires

• Drive safely and follow all regulations and company procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• No prior experience needed; one year of customer service is preferred

• A valid driver's licence (for example class 5, G or 1 [AZ])

• No more than two violations and/or accidents in the last 24 months

• Candidates are assessed on their annual driving record, their interview and driving evaluations
