About this job
Our company in Yonkers, NY needs school van drivers to get clients safely and on time from pickup to destination. The work centers on vehicle inspections, post-route child checks and staying within DOT rules.
Pay
- Rate starts at $27.58 per hour.
What you'll do
- Drive clients to and from their destinations and arrive on schedule.
- Inspect the vehicle before each trip and check for children once a route is finished.
- Plan around traffic, construction and weather, using a navigation app to choose the best route.
- Make sure the vehicle is fueled and ready, and arrange repairs when needed.
- Keep mileage and repair records current.
- Run office pickups and take on other duties as assigned.
- Deal with clients in a professional manner at all times.
Requirements
- CDL Class A, B or C with P and S endorsements.
