About this job
Smart logistics group is looking for CDL-A drivers to run regional freight out of Lathrop, California. Both experienced drivers and recent CDL-A graduates are welcome to apply.
Pay
- You earn $0.55 to $0.85 per mile. Entry-level drivers start at $0.55 and experienced drivers can reach $0.85.
Home time and routes
- Regional runs from Lathrop, not over-the-road.
- You are home every week.
Equipment
- You drive brand-new, modern tractors.
What you'll do
- Drive a tractor-trailer safely, following federal, California and company rules.
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip and report any maintenance issues.
- Keep your logs and paperwork accurate under Hours of Service rules.
- Deliver freight on assigned regional routes and meet customer schedules.
- Stay in touch with dispatch and follow routing and safety directions.
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL.
- Legal authorization to operate commercial vehicles in the US.
- A safety-first, professional attitude.
- Willingness to run regional routes with weekly home time.
