Part-Time Night Box Truck Driver — Weekend Nights, $25/hr

Our company in Houston, TX needs a part-time driver to run a 26 foot box truck on weekend nights, handling deliveries and pickups along with some warehouse work. You'll work independently but stay in touch with dispatch throughout your shift.

Schedule

• Weekend nights, roughly 8 PM to 10:30 PM

Pay

• Starting at $25.00 per hour

What you'll do

• Drive a 26 foot box truck (and sometimes vans) on night delivery and pickup routes

• Load and unload cargo by hand, with pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment, using proper lifting technique

• Follow your assigned route and traffic laws to hit delivery windows

• Check the vehicle before and after each shift to confirm it's safe to drive

• Help out with warehouse tasks like moving stock and tracking inventory

• Navigate and confirm deliveries using a mobile device, staying in contact with dispatch

• Keep delivery, pickup, and vehicle records up to date per DOT rules

Requirements

• Clean driving record

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Box truck experience preferred, along with comfort driving manual-transmission vehicles

• Prior warehouse or commercial driving background is a plus, as is experience with pallet jacks or forklifts

• Able to safely lift and handle heavy loads

• Understanding of DOT rules around commercial vehicles and weight limits

• Comfortable working solo overnight while staying safe, on time, and efficient
