Part-Time Night Box Truck Driver — Weekend Nights, $25.00/hr

Our company needs a part-time night driver in Houston, TX to run a 26 foot box truck on weekend night delivery and pickup routes. You'll handle loading, unloading, and basic vehicle checks while keeping to a short evening schedule.

Schedule

• Weekend nights, roughly 8 PM to 10:30 PM

What you'll do

• Drive a 26 foot box truck (and sometimes vans) on planned delivery and pickup routes

• Load and unload freight by hand or with pallet jacks and similar equipment, using proper lifting technique

• Run pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and keep the truck clean and safe

• Help with warehouse tasks like moving stock and tracking inventory when needed

• Follow your route using a mobile device and stay in touch with dispatch

• Log deliveries, pickups, and vehicle activity to meet DOT recordkeeping rules

Requirements

• Clean driving record

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

• Box truck experience preferred, along with comfort driving manual transmission vehicles

• Prior warehouse or commercial driving background is a plus, as is experience with pallet jacks or forklifts

• Able to safely lift and move freight to standard weight-handling guidelines

• Familiarity with DOT rules on commercial vehicle operation and weight limits

• Comfortable working solo at night with attention to safety and timeliness
