Part-Time Hiker Driver — Up to 25 Hrs/Week, Local Short Runs

Penske is looking for a part-time hiker driver to move vehicles between its Calgary location and customer sites, with occasional help delivering parts and equipment to the service department. This on-call role suits someone wanting extra income with flexible hours.

Schedule

• Part-time, on-call work, up to 25 hours per week depending on business needs

• Based out of 6215 48 St SE, Calgary, AB

What you'll do

• Drive trucks safely between Penske locations and customer sites

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical, safety and emergency equipment issues and report any problems to the location manager

• Collect signatures, receipts or payment when required

• Report any accidents, traffic violations, defects or damage involving the vehicle

• Take on other tasks assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

• At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience

• A clean driving record for the past 2 years

• Valid Class D or Class 3 license with air brake certification

• Able to read, write and follow instructions in English (French also considered)

• Comfortable working independently, with strong customer service and organizational skills

• Reliable attendance, flexible availability, and willingness to work at the assigned location

• Must complete a Penske application and agree to reference checks covering past employment and education

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs frequently, and 100 lbs occasionally, plus standing, walking and reaching as needed for the job
