Part-Time DZ Delivery Driver — $26.00–$28.00/hr

Our company Inc. in Burlington, ON is looking for a part-time DZ delivery driver to run deliveries three days a week. You'll drive a 2023 International tandem axle straight truck with air brakes on a route covering the southwestern GTA, Niagara and London.

Schedule

• Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

• 7:30am to 4pm

Pay

• $26.00 to $28.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Custom formulated wood coatings and adhesives

• You'll pick orders from the warehouse, load and unload the truck yourself

• The truck is on a full-service lease and serviced by the dealer

What the job involves

• Plan your route and load the truck to match the day's deliveries and pickups

• Make sure everything is secured in the truck and all stock is accounted for before you leave

• Get customer signatures and collect payment where needed, then return paperwork to the office and fill out your delivery log

• Follow TDG rules on every delivery and drive defensively

• Use safe lifting practices and wear required PPE in the warehouse

• Do a daily circle check, keep an eye on the truck's condition and flag any repairs needed

Requirements

• DZ licence

• Clean driver's abstract

• 5 years of experience transporting dangerous goods (TDG), required

• Forklift certification and experience, preferred

• Comfortable lifting items of 50+ lbs

• Good knowledge of GTA highways

• Fluent English and basic computer skills

• Dependable, detail-oriented and self-motivated

• You'll need to provide: a driver's abstract (MV), CVOR/CVDR abstract, letters of experience from your previous insurer(s) and employer(s), and a completed New Driver Commercial Insurance Questionnaire
