Part-Time Delivery Driver — $23.75/hr

Our company in Kirkland Lake, ON needs a courier to pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route while giving customers friendly, reliable service. This is a casual/part-time position with 2-3 shifts per week or more, Monday to Friday.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver packages along your route, checking each shipment against our company's service standards

• Load your van and plan your route for efficient stops

• Keep accurate counts of stops and report any missorted packages

• Use the company's tracking and dispatch system, entering information correctly

• Make sure packages are labelled properly and paperwork is accurate, and keep customers stocked with shipping supplies

• Answer customer questions about our company's services, including Canada, US and international shipping requirements

• Spot potential new business from existing customers and pass leads to the sales team

• Keep company and customer property, including packages, equipment and vehicles, secure

• Depending on the location, you may also help load or unload aircraft or containers and sort or scan packages

• Drive safely and follow all government and company rules

• Present yourself professionally and keep a neat, clean appearance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• One year of customer-facing work experience is preferred

• Familiarity with our company operations or Canadian customs rules is a plus

• Able to lift 70 lbs on your own and move packages up to 150 lbs with the right equipment

• Must pass the required pre-placement driving assessment

• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills

• Comfortable handling multiple tasks and working under pressure

• Drivers must hold a valid license (such as class 5, G or 1/AZ) with no more than two infractions or accidents in the past 24 months, and will be assessed on their driving record, interview performance and driving test results

• Employees in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English
