About this job
Our company in Pittston, Pennsylvania is hiring a part-time CDL Driver / Equipment Operator for a small crew. You'll split time between hauling in CDL trucks and running equipment on active jobsites, with work that shifts by project and season, including winter and snow removal.
What you'll do
- Drive CDL trucks for hauling, jobsite support, and winter operations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and flag any vehicle issues
- Load, haul, dump, and secure materials and equipment
- Run excavation and construction equipment if you have the experience and skill for it
- Pitch in with general jobsite tasks alongside the crew
- Handle snow removal and winter driving duties
- Follow DOT, company, and site safety rules
- Stay in close contact with supervisors about your availability
- Help maintain trucks, equipment, and company property
Schedule
This is a part-time role with hours that change based on workload. You may need to work days, nights, or both depending on the project, and winter/snow-removal shifts are part of the job. Being flexible and responsive to last-minute scheduling needs matters a lot here.
Requirements
- Valid CDL
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- Able to pass required drug testing
- Reliable transportation and solid attendance
- Comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites
- Open to both day and night work as needed
- Available for winter and snow-removal assignments
- Prior equipment-operating experience strongly preferred (excavators, skid steers, dozers, loaders, rollers, or similar)
- Able to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
