Part-Time AZ/DZ Yard Shunter — Weekends Off, $20.00–$23.00/hr

Fluke Transportation Group in Hamilton, ON needs a part-time yard shunter for afternoon shifts, moving trailers around the yard and keeping local freight flowing. This role suits a retired or semi-retired commercial driver who wants steady, low-stress work without long hauls or weekend shifts.

Schedule

• 2 to 3 shifts per week, Monday through Friday

• Shift runs 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, so you're home by 9:30 PM

• No weekend work, giving you consistent time off

• Expected 18.0 to 27.0 hours weekly

What you'll do

• Shuttle empty and loaded trailers between dock doors and yard parking spots

• Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse staff to line up trailer placement for evening shipments

• Run pre-trip checks on the shunt truck and confirm trailers are properly secured at the docks

• Log trailer numbers and movements

Requirements

• Valid AZ or DZ license with Z (air brake) endorsement

• Solid backing and trailer handling ability; road experience is a plus

• Clean commercial driving abstract

• Able to get in and out of the shunt cab and work outdoors in all weather

• Available for 2 to 3 afternoon shifts weekly, Monday to Friday

Pay

$20.00 to $23.00 per hour
