About this job
Our company needs an owner-operator team to run LTL flatbed freight between its Canadian terminals in Leduc/Edmonton and Calgary and its US terminals across Texas, Oklahoma, Wyoming, North Dakota and more, as far south as Houston, TX. This is a long haul shuttle route built for two drivers running together.
Pay
- Base rate starts at $2.00-$2.15+ USD per mile, depending on whether you run an owned or company trailer
- You're paid for every stop and pickup on top of all rolling miles
- A fuel surcharge of $0.15-0.65+ USD CPM kicks in for team owner-operators once US fuel tops $3.00 USD per gallon
- Expect 4,600+ miles per week, with multiple trips available weekly
- Paid weekly by direct deposit in CAD, with full transparency on how your pay is calculated
- Pinch states this is the highest-paying position in the company
What you'll haul
LTL flatbed freight moving between Pinch terminals in Houston, Dallas, and Midland TX; Broussard, LA; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Casper, WY; Williston, ND; and Calgary and Leduc, AB.
Requirements
- Class 1 license and FAST Card (FAST Card or TWIC preferred; if you don't have one, you'll apply for it after being hired, before your first trip)
- B1 Visa or B1 Visa scheduling document
- Two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience and one year of verifiable flatbed experience, each driver, in the US or Canada
- A clean, acceptable driver abstract
- You'll need to already have a team driving partner, or be ready to answer whether you do when applying
- Forklift experience of one year is a plus
