Over-the-Road CDL-A Driver — Per Diem & Company Lodging

Our company is hiring a long-haul Class A driver out of Louisville, KY. You will move equipment and freight on over-the-road routes, handle freight at several stops, and then get scheduled time off after each run.

Home time and schedule

• You will be out for a stretch of 10 to 14 consecutive days, followed by scheduled time off.

• Overnight shifts of up to six days in a row are part of the job.

What you'll do

• Drive a Class A vehicle carrying products from the manufacturing facility to warehouses and other destinations.

• Load and unload at multiple stops, handling items carefully to avoid damage.

• Follow the routes and schedules from the Logistics Manager and stay in touch with dispatch, warehouse staff and customers.

• Inspect the truck routinely (tires, oil and other essentials) and report repairs needed.

• Keep delivery logs, receipts and other paperwork accurate and turned in promptly.

• Follow DOT rules, company safety standards and PPE requirements, and secure loads properly.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A with a clean, safe driving record.

• At least 2 years of CDL driving experience; logistics or distribution background preferred.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Able to lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs and handle freight by hand.

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement.

• Able to run a forklift safely with training.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
