OTR Truck Driver — $1,000–$1,500/Week

Our company in Houston, TX is looking for an experienced over-the-road driver to haul freight on long-distance routes. You'll run tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds and tankers while keeping deliveries on time and meeting safety rules.

Pay

• $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight moved on long-haul (OTR) lanes using tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tankers

• Some loads may include hazardous materials, handled under required hazmat safety rules

Responsibilities

• Drive long distances while following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Plan routes with GPS tools to hit delivery windows and save fuel

• Load and unload cargo safely and secure it properly

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (tires, brakes, lights, load security)

• Keep accurate hours-of-service logs and delivery paperwork

• Stay in contact with dispatch about routes, schedules and any issues on the road

Requirements

• Solid background driving commercial trucks on OTR or long-distance freight routes

• Comfortable operating tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds, tankers and other specialized equipment

• Experience with GPS routing and tracking systems

• Able to load and unload freight safely by hand

• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat transport rules

• Able to drive manual transmission trucks

• Strong safety habits and clear communication with dispatch and others on the job
