OTR Truck Driver — $1,000–$1,500/Week

Our company in Houston, TX is looking for an experienced over-the-road driver to haul freight safely and on schedule. You'll handle various trailer types and routes while following all safety and regulatory rules.

Pay

• $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, including refrigerated units, flatbeds and tankers

• Hazmat and other dangerous goods, following required safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Plan routes with GPS tools to hit delivery windows and save fuel

• Load and unload cargo properly and make sure it's secured correctly

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks (tires, brakes, lights, load security)

• Keep accurate hours-of-service logs, delivery paperwork and inspection records

• Stay in touch with dispatch about route changes, schedules and any issues on the road

Requirements

• Solid background in commercial driving, with OTR and freight delivery experience

• Comfortable operating tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds, tankers and similar equipment

• Able to use GPS systems for navigation and tracking

• Experience safely loading and unloading freight by hand

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, plus hazmat transport regulations

• Capable of driving manual transmission trucks

• Strong safety mindset and clear communication skills for working with dispatchers and others
