About this job
Our company is looking for an over-the-road driver to haul freight across the lower 48 states, with regular lanes to Florida, California, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Tennessee. You'll run tractor-trailers, including reefer units, and may handle hazmat loads when required.
Pay
- $0.35 - $0.50 per mile
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer and refrigerated trailer freight
- Hazardous materials loads when applicable, following all required handling rules
Routes
- OTR routes covering the lower 48 states, with regular lanes to Florida, California, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Tennessee
Requirements
- Commercial driving experience, with a background in route and delivery driving
- Comfortable operating tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers
- Knowledge of hazmat regulations for dangerous goods
- Able to use GPS systems to plan efficient routes
- Solid understanding of FMCSA and DOT rules, including hours-of-service logging, pre- and post-trip inspections, and load securement
