About this job
Our company is looking for a driver to haul freight safely from pickup to delivery, with routes that can stretch over the road. Depending on the load, you might handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or vehicle transport. Pay runs $2,000.00 - $2,600.00 per week.
What you'll do
- Drive commercial trucks and tractor-trailers, shifting manually when the equipment calls for it
- Navigate assigned routes with GPS
- Help load and unload freight, securing cargo by hand when needed
- Check your vehicle and load before, during, and after each trip, reporting any problems right away
- Stay compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules, including hazmat and dangerous goods requirements where applicable
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving credentials matching the vehicle and route you're assigned
- Proven safe driving and delivery background
- Comfortable handling freight and loading/unloading
- Hazmat experience and knowledge of hazardous materials rules are a plus
- Familiarity with logistics cargo handling and DOT/FMCSA standards is helpful
