About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to move freight over the road across multiple states, keeping deliveries on time while following all safety and DOT rules.
What you'll do
- Drive a tractor-trailer on highways and local roads, staying compliant with traffic laws and company policy
- Check the truck's mechanical condition, lights, tires and cargo straps before and after each run
- Secure freight with ropes, chains or covers, and help load or unload when needed
- Keep accurate hours-of-service logs, fuel records and delivery paperwork
- Stay in touch with dispatch for instructions, status updates and any issues on the road
- Flag any mechanical problems to the maintenance team
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license
- Current DOT medical certificate
- At least 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Solid understanding of DOT safety rules
- Clean motor vehicle record
