OTR Box Truck Driver — Loaded-Mile Pay, 1099 Contractor

Our company needs box truck drivers to haul palletized freight across the country on long-haul routes. You'll work as a W9 independent contractor, handling dock-to-dock deliveries and running the road for 2-3 weeks at a stretch before heading home.

Pay

• Compensation is based on loaded miles

• Rate listed as $25.00-$30.00 per hour

• Contractor (1099) status, not employee

Schedule and routes

• Over-the-road work covering highways nationwide

• You may need to work up to 6 days a week

• Expect to be away from home for 2-3 weeks minimum per trip

What you'll haul

• Palletized freight moved dock-to-dock

• You'll handle loading and unloading yourself using a liftgate and manual pallet jack

Requirements

• Valid driver's license (CDL welcomed but not required; Class B CDL experience is a plus)

• Minimum age 25

• At least 2 years behind the wheel of a box truck or bigger

• OTR experience is a plus

• Clean 3-year MVR required, with no DUI in the past 3 years

• No license suspensions in the past 2 years

• No major at-fault accidents in the past 2 years

• Physically able to load and unload palletized freight

• Own a reliable smartphone

• Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working independently under pressure
