OTR Box Truck Driver — $1,500–$2,000/Week

Our company is looking for an OTR box truck driver in Austin, TX to haul freight over the road, with work that may include refrigerated trailers and tractor-trailer equipment. You'll be on the road full time, handling loading, inspections and deliveries while staying compliant with federal safety rules.

Pay

• $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight moved over the road, including automobile parts and general cargo

• Refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tanker equipment may be part of the job

• Hazardous materials or dangerous goods when required, handled under Hazmat rules

What the job involves

• Driving box trucks and tractor-trailers on OTR routes while following DOT and FMCSA rules

• Using GPS to stay on schedule and find the most efficient route

• Loading, securing and unloading cargo by hand, following proper safety procedures

• Running pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks for mechanical problems and load security

• Staying in contact with dispatch to coordinate deliveries and handle any issues on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL; Hazmat or tanker endorsements are a plus

• Background in commercial driving, delivery or freight transport

• Comfortable working with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or tractor-trailers

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules

• Experience running OTR routes with GPS navigation

• Able to safely load and unload cargo by hand

• Clean driving record
