About this job
Our company needs OTR drivers to run a 26 ft box truck. This route keeps you on the road for extended stretches rather than getting you home each night.
Home time
This is not a local or home-daily job. Expect to be out for multiple weeks at a stretch before returning home.
Pay
You're paid weekly on a percentage basis: 25% of 90% of the total load revenue, after a 10% deduction for dispatch and operations. Depending on how much freight moves and what it pays, weekly earnings typically land between $1,000.00 and $2,000.00. There's no guaranteed base — what you take home depends on load revenue and your availability to run.
What you'll haul
You'll operate a 26 ft box truck on OTR runs, with steady freight coming through dispatch.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience driving a box truck or running OTR
- A valid commercial driver's license
- A current DOT medical card
- Comfortable working with ELD systems
- Solid understanding of DOT rules and regulations
- Must pass a driving record check, background screening and drug test
- Preference given to drivers based in the DFW area, or those willing to relocate there
