Non-CDL Truck Driver — Flatbed/Semi, Jobsite Deliveries

Our company in La Porte, TX needs a Non-CDL Truck Driver to move materials and supplies to and from jobsites using a flatbed or semi-truck. You'll handle vehicle checks, basic upkeep, and support crews on active construction sites.

What you'll haul

• Jobsite materials, equipment and paperwork, picked up and delivered by flatbed or semi-truck

What you'll do

• Load and unload freight, or help with loading and unloading

• Track what's delivered and confirm receipt of incoming items

• Check vehicles and equipment for problems and make sure they're safe and ready for the road or the job

• Clean and maintain trucks, equipment and tools

• Pitch in on general labor or clerical tasks as needed, and support other crew members

• Keep a clean driving record that meets company standards

Requirements

• Comfortable working on active construction sites with uneven ground, mud, gravel and sand

• Able to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding safely

• Able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds regularly, with help or equipment as available

• Willing to work in confined spaces or at height when the job calls for it

• Able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather - heat, cold, rain, wind, humidity, dust and noise

• Strong communication skills for working with crews, supervisors, clients and vendors

• Able to read and follow plans, instructions, safety rules and company policy

• Good judgment, focus and problem-solving skills in a busy, changing work environment
