Non-CDL Medical Waste Route Driver — $20.80/hr

WM is hiring a Non-CDL medical waste route driver in Conroe, TX to service assigned customer accounts, picking up medical waste and delivering supplies on a set route.

Pay

• $20.80 per hour

• $250 boot allowance

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, four 10-hour days

• Start time is either 4am or 5am, running until the route is finished

• Occasional overtime may be needed

• Training runs five days a week

What you'll do

• Run your assigned route, picking up medical waste from customer sites in a safe, timely and accurate way, following all federal, provincial and local regulations

• Check your paperwork (manifests, route sheets, prior vehicle condition reports) and follow the routing software to plan your stops

• Load and unload the truck as needed, including securing waste and supplies before driving

• Confirm customers have packaged waste correctly before you transport it

• Keep customers happy and flag any issues (re-routes, container size changes, training needs) to your supervisor or dispatcher

• Complete all required paperwork and DOT driver logs accurately and on time

• Do pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections, reporting any maintenance issues, and log your hours using the ELD/Geotab system

• Report route problems to your supervisor or dispatcher before end of day

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience; box truck or route experience preferred

• Valid driver's license

• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card from a certified examiner

• May need specific immunizations or credentials depending on the customer

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• This is a safety-sensitive role, so you'll need to follow all safety protocols and be subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, random, post-incident and reasonable-suspicion)

• The job involves standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching and handling, both indoors and outdoors in all weather
