About this job
Our company in Taunton, MA is hiring a Non-CDL Delivery Driver to deliver parts to customers using a company vehicle. You'll handle loading, unloading and paperwork at each stop, plus some customer payment collection.
Pay
- Starting pay is $20/hr, based on experience.
What you'll do
- Operate a company vehicle safely between delivery stops.
- Load the truck before each run and check the manifest and paperwork against what's loaded.
- Unload at each destination, confirm parts match the order, and get a signature from the receiving location.
- Bring back any returned parts and note them properly on the manifest.
- Collect payments from customers when required.
- Follow company procedures and complete required annual training.
- Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration rules.
- Deliver good customer service at every stop.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Must qualify for company vehicle insurance coverage.
- Must meet DOT physical and testing standards and know DOT rules.
- Minimum age 21.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- No degree needed; a high school diploma or GED, six months of delivery driving, or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Comfortable with basic math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, percentages) and everyday use of Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds and handle physical tasks like bending, climbing, kneeling and standing for long periods.
- May work around hazardous equipment, tight spaces, extreme temperatures or loud noise, and wear protective gear as needed.
- Occasional travel, including overnight trips, may be required.
