Non-CDL Box Truck Driver — Home Daily, $18/hr

Our company is hiring a non-CDL box truck driver in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will drive a straight truck or van on local routes, bringing food and food-related products to customers, often handling urgent re-deliveries. You are home every day with no overnights.

Pay and schedule

• $18.00 per hour plus a bonus, which is explained in the interview

• Monday to Friday

• Dispatch times change, usually between 3:00am and 6:00am, so you need to be flexible

• Based at 100 West End Rd, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18703

What you'll do

• Inspect the truck or van before and after each trip as DOT rules require, and report any safety problems or repairs

• Confirm the load is secure, count the items and check them against the invoices

• Drive to customers on your assigned schedule and unload the goods into their storage areas

• Check for damage, get signatures, collect cash or checks when needed, and take back returns

• Keep the truck and freight locked, log your hours of service, finish paperwork and tidy the loading area

Requirements

• A regular (non-commercial) driver's license and any state licensing that applies

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience

• Age 21 or older

• A clean driving record for the past 3 years

• Pass a drug test and a road test

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

• Able to handle cases of about 60 to 90 pounds with a two-wheeler, lift gate or similar equipment
