About this job
Our company needs an OTR box truck driver to haul freight safely and on schedule using a 26-foot Non-CDL vehicle. You'll run stretches of at least 10 days on the road to start, handling your own pre- and post-trip checks and paperwork along the way.
Pay
- $1,200.00 to $2,000.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Freight moved in a 26-foot Non-CDL box truck, with occasional help loading or unloading
Schedule
- Over-the-road runs, initially at least 10 days at a stretch
- Open to day, night or overnight shifts
Requirements
- At least 18 months of verifiable experience driving a 26-foot box truck or larger
- Valid driver's license with a clean record (MVR) and no traffic violations
- Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
- Comfortable with long-distance driving and the physical demands of the job
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
On the job
- Complete your own pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Secure loads and help with offloading when needed
- Keep freight paperwork, receipts and driving logs up to date
- Run ELD and standard GPS systems
- Flag any vehicle maintenance issues you notice
