Long Haul Truck Driver — $70,000–$151,424.93/Year

Our company in Edmonton, AB is looking for a dependable long-haul driver to move freight across multiple locations on schedule. You'll handle heavy-duty trucks over long distances and take care of the freight from pickup to delivery.

What you'll do

• Drive commercial trucks on long-distance runs, following traffic laws and safety rules

• Keep freight moving on schedule from origin to destination

• Do pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks to confirm everything is safe and working

• Load and unload cargo, using a forklift or other equipment when needed, and secure it properly

• Handle basic repairs or troubleshooting on the road when required

• Log your hours, mileage and cargo details accurately per company and DOT rules

• Stay in touch with dispatch and clients about delivery timing and any issues along the way

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean record

• Forklift or other loading-equipment experience preferred

• Familiarity with freight handling and long-haul safety practices

• Basic vehicle repair or troubleshooting skills are a plus

• Organized, detail-oriented record keeping

• Able to lift, load, unload and secure freight, including heavy items

• Prior commercial driving or equipment experience is a bonus, not a must — training is provided for the right candidate
