Long Haul Truck Driver — $6,000–$7,000/Month

Our company in Mississauga, ON is looking for a reliable long haul truck driver to move freight over long distances while staying on the road for extended stretches. You'll handle deliveries, equipment, and basic upkeep of your rig to keep each trip running on schedule.

Pay

• $6,000.00-$7,000.00 per month

What you'll do

• Drive heavy-duty trucks on long-distance routes, following all traffic and safety rules

• Load and unload cargo, using a forklift or other equipment and securing freight properly

• Check your vehicle before and after each trip to catch any maintenance or safety concerns

• Keep mileage logs, delivery records and freight paperwork up to date

• Stay in touch with dispatch, clients and teammates to coordinate schedules and sort out any problems

• Handle minor repairs or troubleshooting on the truck to keep it running during trips

• Wear the right protective gear and stick to load limits and other safety rules

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean record

• At least 6 months of verifiable driving experience

• Background in long-haul commercial driving

• Comfortable operating a forklift and handling freight

• Familiar with heavy equipment and basic truck repair

• Able to carry out thorough safety checks and troubleshoot trucks and trailers

• Good communication skills for working with dispatch and clients

• Physically able to manage loading tasks and long hours behind the wheel
