Our company in Uxbridge, ON is looking for a driver to handle local deliveries of doors, trim and hardware to jobsites across the GTA using a 26' straight truck. The role involves physical loading and unloading work alongside driving.
What you'll haul
- Doors, trim and hardware, delivered directly to jobsites throughout the GTA
- A 26' straight truck is your assigned vehicle
Responsibilities
- Drive your route safely and get freight to jobsites on schedule
- Load and unload cargo yourself, including heavy items, using proper lifting technique
- Stay in contact with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery times and sort out any problems
- Pitch in on warehouse loading and unloading tasks when needed
- Follow safety rules and traffic laws at all times
Requirements
- Valid G license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience driving a straight truck
- Comfortable with heavy, repeated lifting during loading and unloading
- Solid knowledge of traffic laws and safe transport practices
- Good route-reading and navigation skills
- Physically fit enough for manual unloading work
Pay
$20.84-$36.96 per hour
