About this job
Our company is hiring Special Delivery Truck Drivers in the Ocoee, FL area to deliver food products to customers on set routes. No commercial license is needed, just a standard Class C license, and the job involves hand-unloading freight at each stop.
What you'll do
- Drive a delivery truck on your assigned route schedule and unload the products by hand at each customer location.
- Deliver a mix of meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods and supplies.
- Get to know your customers and their operations, and keep a friendly, positive attitude with them.
- If you hold a Class A or B license, you may sometimes be asked to run a tractor-trailer, which means meeting all DOT driver qualification rules.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21.
- Standard Class C operator's license.
- Pass a drug screen before starting.
- Enough English to talk with the public, read road signs and signals, answer official questions and fill in reports and records.
- This is touch freight: expect to handle products averaging 40-60 pounds, with some as heavy as 100 pounds.
