About this job
Our company is hiring a dedicated regional CDL-A driver for routes running up and down the I-95 corridor. You will mostly drive automatic-transmission trucks pulling dry van trailers with retail and general dry goods.
Pay
- Weekly pay averages $1,511, with a top weekly pay of $1,763.
- The posting also puts typical weekly pay between $1,500 and $1,750.
Routes and freight
- You run from Florida up to Maine, and west as far as Ohio and Alabama.
- Expect around 2,000 miles and about 2 stops each week.
- The freight is no-touch retail and dry van goods.
- Half of your work is live loading and unloading, and the other half is drop-and-hook.
Schedule and home time
- This is a round-the-clock operation, so deliveries can happen by day or by night.
- A typical shift can run up to 14 hours.
- You get home every two weeks for 2 days. Staying out longer is possible, and it earns you extra days off.
- Truck parking is available at your home or at a secure spot near your home city.
Requirements
- A valid Class A CDL.
- At least 3 months of solo driving experience with a CDL-A.
- Willingness to work the every-two-weeks home schedule, nights and long shifts.
- Ability to handle live loading and unloading about half the time.
- Comfort running dry vans with an automatic transmission.
- Meeting the company's and its customers' requirements.
