Local Salt Truck Operator — $24.00–$26.50/hr

Our company needs dependable Salt Truck Operators for the winter season, covering dedicated commercial routes in the Tri-Cities area with a focus on North Waterloo. You'll drive a 3-Ton or 5-Ton truck, spreading salt and de-icer across parking lots, drive lanes, entrances and loading areas to keep properties safe in winter weather.

Pay

• $24.00-$26.50 per hour

What you'll haul

• Salt and de-icing materials, applied via 3-Ton and 5-Ton trucks

Schedule

• Work is weather-dependent and on-call, with shifts that can fall overnight, early morning, on weekends, and on statutory holidays during storm events

Requirements

• Valid G/DZ/AZ licence matching the vehicle driven

• A three-year uncertified driver's abstract

• At least a year of experience running a salt truck or doing commercial winter maintenance

• Comfort working outdoors in cold, changing conditions and during irregular hours

• Strong attention to site hazards like pedestrians, curbs, and landscaping
