About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time pickup and delivery driver in Squamish, BC. You will run an assigned route, collecting and delivering packages while giving customers friendly, efficient service. This is an interview position.
Pay
- $24 an hour, full-time.
What you'll do
- Cover your assigned route with timely package pickups and deliveries.
- Check each shipment to make sure it meets our company's service features.
- Handle customer service tasks that come with the route.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver's license (for example Class 5, G or 1 [AZ]) and a clean record: no more than two violations or accidents in the last 24 months.
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and move packages up to 150 lbs using the right equipment.
- Pass the required pre-placement driver assessment training.
- Willingness to work varying schedules and holidays as business needs change.
- One year of customer-focused work experience is preferred; knowledge of our company operations and Canadian Customs rules is an asset.
- Strong communication, time management and customer service skills, and the ability to handle a high-pressure, multitasking environment.
