Local Part-Time CDL-A Transfer Driver — $19/hr, Home Daily

Our company in Austin, TX has a part-time opening for a Class A CDL transfer driver, shuttling empty equipment between customer sites on a local route with no overnight travel.

Pay

• $19.00 per hour, paid weekly

• Weekly pay comes out to about $608

• Referral bonuses are uncapped for any driver you refer who gets hired

Schedule and home time

• Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM

• You're home every day

What you'll haul

• You'll move empty trailers between our company customer locations as part of an equipment shuttle operation

• No-touch freight

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for this role

• Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, OR 2 years in the last 5, OR 5 years in the last 10

• Able to pass a our company drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical, and road test

• Previous employers will be checked for drug and alcohol history going back 3 years

• Comfortable following written and verbal instructions and applying relevant laws, rules and procedures

• Some assignments may involve extra screening, such as employment or education checks, additional driving record review, or customer-specific badge requirements

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and follow all DOT and safety regulations

• Keep up with ongoing training and provide good customer service

• Watch for and reduce safety hazards on the job

• Keep accurate logs and records

• Handle other duties as assigned
