About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time Package Driver in Kanata, Ontario to deliver and pick up packages for residential and commercial customers. This is a physical, fast-paced local role with a driving license and a clean record required; no CDL needed.
Pay
- Starts at $20.00 per hour
- Rises to $37.29 per hour under the union contract once you reach seniority plus 48 months of service
- Paid weekly, with overtime available
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday base schedule, but you must be available Tuesday through Saturday and some Mondays
- Shift runs roughly 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with some flexibility needed on start and finish times
- Work location: 8825 Campeau Drive, Kanata, Ontario
What you'll do
- Deliver and pick up our company packages
- Use our company safe and defensive driving practices
- Help load and unload trucks
- Track and record delivered packages
- Wear the company-provided uniform and vest
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G driver's license
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs unassisted (typical packages weigh 25-35 lbs)
- Clean driver's abstract: no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years, no more than 2 violations in that period, no violations in the last 12 months, and no more than 5 demerit points over 3 years
- Comfortable navigating with maps and GPS
- Good customer service skills
