About this job
Our company is hiring a full-time package delivery driver for its Caledon, ON facility. You'll pick up and drop off packages at homes and businesses, working Tuesday through Saturday (with occasional Monday flexibility) on a shift starting around 9:15 AM.
Pay
- Starts at $20.00 per hour
- Wage climbs to $42.33 per hour after 48 months, per the union contract
- Paid weekly by direct deposit every Friday
- Overtime and paid training included
What you'll do
- Drive to residential and commercial stops to deliver and collect packages
- Help load and unload the truck
- Track and log delivery details
- Follow our company's defensive driving practices and wear the provided uniform
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G license
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs (typical parcels run 25-35 lbs)
- Clean driving abstract: no violations in the past 12 months, no more than 2 in the past 3 years, no accidents and a maximum of 5 demerit points in that period
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and in a fast-paced setting
- Good customer service and map/GPS skills

Costs to note
- Monthly union dues of about $52
- A one-time $50 union initiation fee, deducted after 90 working days
