Local Non-CDL Straight Truck Driver — $27.14/hr

Our company is looking for a local non-CDL straight truck driver to handle pickup and delivery runs out of its Harmarville, PA service center. This is a full-time role focused on safe, claim-free freight handling and strong customer service.

Pay

• $27.14 per hour

What you'll do

• Run an assigned local pickup and delivery route based on dispatch and manifest instructions

• Load and unload freight by hand or with equipment, working with or without dock help

• Complete and handle shipment paperwork such as pro numbers, bills of lading, manifests and freight bills

• Build good working relationships with customers on your route

• Report any freight overages, shortages or damage, and flag loading issues that could cause damage

• Keep your truck clean, do pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, and report equipment problems right away

• Communicate regularly with dispatch on pickup/delivery status and any delays, using a company phone, customer phone or the Maven app

• Join driver meetings and sales huddles to share feedback on customers and processes

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with no pattern of moving violations or accidents, personal or commercial

• Current DOT physical card, or ability to get one

• Must pass a company road test

• Six months of verifiable straight truck driving experience preferred; otherwise you'll complete 3 weeks (15 days) of local training

• At least 19 years old, per federal requirement

• Working knowledge of DOT rules on safe driving, hours of service, inspections, maintenance and hazmat transport

• English proficiency sufficient to read signs, communicate with the public, respond to official requests and complete reports, without relying on translation tools, per FMCSA guidance

• Able to handle required paperwork and use a mobile communication system effectively

• Steel-toed shoes/boots required

• Must pass the company's minimum driver qualification standards set by the Safety Department

• Subject to random drug testing for non-CDL employees

• Able to work the required schedule

Physical demands

• Able to read gauges and dials accurately

• Able to get in and out of the cab using steps and handholds

• Exposure to heat, cold, dust and other elements possible

• Classified as "Heavy" work: frequently moving 25-50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs of force

• Occasional carrying up to 75 lbs (up to 40 feet), pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs of force (up to 100 feet), and lifting up to 100 lbs between floor, knee, waist and shoulder height

• Occasional stooping, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, balancing and low reaching

• Frequent sitting and reaching at or above shoulder height
