Local G-Licence Truck Driver — $23–$25/hr, Mon–Fri Schedule

Our company, a powder coating manufacturer running two GTA plants, needs a G-licensed driver for local Ontario routes, including shuttling between the Mississauga and Vaughan locations. When you're not on the road, you'll pitch in on shipping, receiving and yard duties.

Pay

• $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Home time

• Monday to Friday, roughly 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with extra hours when things get busy

• Mostly local Ontario runs, with the odd longer haul mixed in

What you'll haul

• Materials, equipment and product moving between the company's own sites, customers and suppliers

• Finished powder-coated items, which need careful handling with blankets, racks and dunnage to keep the finish undamaged

• You'll operate a forklift to get trucks loaded and unloaded and to shift product around the yard and warehouse

Requirements

• Active Class G licence (Ontario), clean standing

• At least 3 years behind the wheel of a commercial vehicle

• A Driver's Abstract and CVOR record that meet company and insurance standards

• Forklift certification already in hand, or willingness to get certified in your first 30 days (the company trains you)

• A valid medical certificate for commercial drivers

• Comfortable lifting as much as 50 lb on a regular basis

• Steel-toed boots and proper PPE required on site
