Local Food Service Delivery Driver — $20–$25/hr

Our company, a long-established Ontario fresh produce distributor, needs a local delivery driver to get fresh food to restaurants, hospitals, schools and other food service customers in the Mississauga area.

Pay

• $20.00 to $25.00 per hour

• Expect 35 to 45 hours a week

What you'll haul

• Fresh produce delivered in a straight truck, including 20-foot or larger refrigerated units

• Multiple stops per route serving food service customers

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned local and regional routes and handle cargo by hand truck or dolly at each stop

• Build a rapport with kitchen and receiving staff, confirming deliveries and gathering signed invoices

• Run safety checks on the vehicle before, during and after each trip, flagging any mechanical problems

• Keep delivery records, route logs and bills of lading accurate and up to date

Requirements

• Valid G or DZ license with a clean abstract from the past 30 days

• A year or more of local trucking or food delivery experience is preferred

• Able to repeatedly lift 60 to 90 pounds and manage multi-stop physical work

• Comfortable navigating city and suburban streets, with solid English skills for customer interactions

• Must be applying from within the country, for a long-term role
