About this job
Our company is looking for a dependable, hands-on driver to help run deliveries for our lumberyard and building-materials operations. You will drive, load and unload, and deal directly with customers at job sites.
What you'll do
- Drive a delivery truck safely to residential and commercial job sites
- Load and unload lumber and building materials at the yard and at drop-off points
- Strap down and secure loads correctly, following safety rules
- Fill out delivery paperwork and logs
- Check the truck over each day and flag any problems
- Treat customers with friendly, professional service
Requirements
- Valid G Driver's Licence (required)
- Clean driving history
- Able to load and unload building materials safely
- Physically capable of lifting and moving materials all day
- Reliable with a solid work ethic
- Familiarity with building materials helpful but not required
- Air Brake Endorsement preferred
- DZ Licence with a clean abstract preferred
Pay and schedule
- $22.50-$30.00 per hour, based on experience
- Full-time and part-time positions available, permanent
- Local routes, home every day
