Local Delivery and Moving Driver — $19.10–$20.00/hr, 8-Hour Shifts

Join the Wilmington office team delivering goods and helping with light moving work. You'll drive a box truck or personal vehicle on local routes, handle cargo, and work with customers face to face every day.

Pay

• $19.10 to $20.00 per hour

• Straight pay for the full 8 or 9 hours you work, with no deductions for breaks or lunch

Schedule

• Shifts run 8 hours, typically starting at 6am and ending between 3pm and 5pm

• You'll need your own transportation to and from the Wilmington warehouse

What you'll do

• Drive delivery routes safely, following traffic laws and DOT standards

• Load, unload and secure cargo by hand and with equipment like pallet jacks

• Use a mobile device to navigate routes and stay in touch about deliveries

• Interact with customers professionally and handle their questions

• Check your vehicle before and after each shift and report any problems

• Use safe lifting methods for heavy or bulky items

• Keep accurate delivery logs and inventory records

Requirements

• Delivery driving or courier experience preferred, ideally with box trucks or commercial vehicles

• Warehouse experience such as material handling or operating equipment like pallet jacks is a plus

• Understanding of driving rules for commercial and personal-vehicle deliveries

• Comfortable with manual transmission vehicles and manual handling equipment

• Familiarity with DOT weight-handling and safe driving rules

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Able to safely lift heavy items using proper technique
