You'll be home every night with no long-haul driving involved.

Pay

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, days
  • Typical hours run about 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though this can shift based on workload
  • Some flexibility may be needed depending on operational needs; any overtime follows standard employment rules

What you'll haul

  • Prefabricated wall panels, lumber packages, equipment and other construction materials
  • Deliveries move locally between the prefab facility, company yards, suppliers and job sites around Calgary

Equipment

  • Ram 5500 truck paired with a 36-foot deck-over gooseneck trailer

What the job involves

  • Filling out delivery paperwork and getting signatures as needed
  • Staying in contact with the Prefab Operations team to keep deliveries on schedule
  • Speaking up quickly about delays, site access problems, damaged materials or other issues
  • Keeping the truck and trailer clean and presentable
  • Helping load and unload materials when needed
  • Following our company safety rules, site rules and Alberta transportation regulations

Requirements

  • Valid Alberta Class 5 licence or higher, matching the vehicle and trailer you'll operate
  • A driving record that meets company and insurance standards
  • Hands-on experience driving larger trucks and towing trailers
  • Proven ability to back up, park and maneuver a large gooseneck or deck-over trailer safely
  • Solid understanding of load securement and pre-trip inspection practices
  • Comfortable working solo and managing your own delivery route
  • Strong communication skills, especially for reporting problems promptly
  • Able to work around active, changing construction site conditions
  • Dependable, organized and careful with company equipment

Nice to have

  • Experience hauling lumber, prefab components, equipment or similar construction loads
  • Background in construction or building-material delivery
  • Alberta Class 1 or Class 3 licence

You'll be expected to complete all required inspections, secure every load properly, flag equipment problems, follow transportation and site rules, and pause work or raise concerns whenever something feels unsafe. Taking ownership of your equipment and speaking up early are part of the job.

Our company values professionalism and teamwork, expecting drivers to represent the company well, care for equipment and property, and communicate openly with the shop, field crews, customers and suppliers.
