About this job
Our company is hiring a local route delivery driver to serve homes, businesses, and retail customers in the Portage, IN area, driving a commercial vehicle to deliver bottled water and related products.
Pay
- $61,160 per year, paid weekly, plus customer tips
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed
- Shifts start around 6 am and run until the day's deliveries are finished
- Typically about 45 hours per week with some variation in start and end times
What you'll haul
- Bottled water and beverage products delivered to residential, commercial, and retail accounts
- You'll also service and clean customer water dispensers
Requirements
- Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement (the company can help you obtain this)
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- At least 21 years old
- Clean driving history over the past 3 years, with no major violations, license suspensions, or serious offenses
- Able to get a DOT medical card
- Physically able to lift and carry around 250 units a day, each up to 60 lbs, and get in and out of the vehicle 40-55 times a day
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and interacting directly with customers
