About this job
Our company is looking for a Class B driver in Houston, TX for a local, home-daily route driving a reefer box truck. The title says Non-CDL, but a Commercial Driver's License (Class B) is actually what's required for this role.
Pay
- $23.00 per hour, paid weekly
- Expect around 55 hours per week, with average weekly earnings near $1437
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, dispatch starts at 2:00 AM
- You'll be home every day
What you'll haul
- Solo deliveries within Texas
- Refrigerated/grocery freight, specifically dairy products, which involves hands-on loading and unloading
- You'll use a pallet jack and hand truck on the job
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside support and access to 800+ maintenance locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- At least 6 months of verifiable driving experience in the past 3 years (or 2 years in the last 5, or 5 years in the last 10), in similar equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical, and road test
- Customer service background required; reefer or grocery delivery experience is a plus
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws and procedures
