About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL Class A truck driver in Midland, TX to move freight in a tractor-trailer on assigned routes, including over-the-road runs. Depending on the load, you may work with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers or auto transport.
Pay
- $10,000 to $13,500 per month.
What you'll do
- Run local and OTR delivery routes, using GPS to stay on schedule.
- Load, unload and secure cargo, handling it by hand when needed.
- Inspect your truck and freight, drive a manual transmission when assigned, and report any safety or equipment issues.
- Comply with DOT and FMCSA rules, plus hazmat regulations where they apply.
Requirements
- A valid CDL Class A and safe commercial driving experience.
- Working knowledge of driving safety, delivery procedures and loading and unloading.
- Comfortable following assigned routes with GPS.
Nice to have
- Delivery driving experience.
- Familiarity with reefers, flatbeds, tankers or car hauling.
- Hazmat qualifications and freight or logistics handling experience.
- Manual-transmission experience.
