About this job
Our company in Irvine, CA is looking for a local CDL-B driver to handle daily delivery routes. You'll pick up a pre-loaded truck each morning from the cross-dock, make your stops, and return the empty truck to the lot at day's end.
Pay
- $10 - $48 an hour
Home time
- Home daily, running local routes
What you'll haul
- Straight truck deliveries, unloading product by hand or hand cart at customer locations
- Occasional help with loading trucks and palletizing freight
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL (Class A is a plus)
- At least one year of route delivery or straight truck driving experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong enough English skills to read road signs, talk with customers, and complete paperwork
- Capable of lifting and moving items from 1 up to 100 pounds, reaching up to 72 inches, and climbing on and off the truck bed
- Comfortable working in tight spaces and varying weather
What you'll do
- Deliver orders in the sequence set by the transportation department
- Confirm deliveries with customers and collect signatures
- Flag any shortages, invoice issues or damaged goods to management
- Resolve customer concerns professionally
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections following DOT and company policy
