Local CDL-A Tanker Driver — Home Most Nights, $90K–$105K/Year

Our company is looking for a local CDL-A driver in West Harrison, IN to haul dry bulk using pneumatic equipment. You'll do more than drive - you'll load and unload freight with the pneumatic system and work directly with customers. No pneumatic experience needed; full training is provided.

Pay

• Drivers at this location and in Cincinnati currently average $90,000-$105,000 per year

• $3,000 sign-on bonus for new drivers in West Harrison

Home time

• Mostly local routes, with drivers home most nights

• Drivers currently average just one night away per month

• Hotel stays and a per diem are covered when you're out overnight

• Expect to work roughly every other weekend

What you'll haul

• Dry bulk product using pneumatic trailers

• About two-thirds of your shift is driving; the remainder covers loading, unloading and customer interaction

• The work is more hands-on physically than many other driving jobs

Requirements

• Minimum age 23 for interstate commercial driving

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year of tractor trailer experience

• Experience should fall within the last 10 years, ideally within the last 5

• Military driving experience accepted

• Sufficient English skills to communicate with the public, read signs, and complete reports

• Must meet FMCSA physical and medical certification standards and have no disqualifying conditions under FMCSA rules

• CDL must be issued by your state of residence, or obtained within 30 days of relocating

• Hazmat endorsement needed at some locations; tank endorsement not required for dry bulk work

• Clean driving history required: no more than 3 moving violations in 3 years, no major speeding (15+ mph over limit), no reckless driving, improper lane changes, or handheld device violations within set lookback periods, and no drug or alcohol violations in the past 10 years

• Accident history limits apply (preventable road and off-road accidents) and no safety-related license suspensions in the last 10 years, with limits on administrative suspensions as well
