About this job
Our company needs a local shuttle driver to run short routes within a 50 mile radius and get home every day. Expect steady, repeatable work with assigned routes instead of long-haul driving or retail stops.
What the job looks like
- You'll know your route, tasks and schedule ahead of time
- Routes stay within a 50 mile radius
- Freight is no-touch, with no retail or customer deliveries
- Hours and pay are steady and predictable
What you'll do
- Shuttle trailers around the yard and between dock doors
- Handle drop and hook work
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow company safety rules and procedures
- Stay in contact with dispatch and yard staff
- Keep accurate logs and paperwork
Pay
- Starting pay is $23.00 per hour
- Overtime kicks in after 40 hours
- Paid weekly
- Referral bonus up to $2,000
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean driving history and a clear FMCSA Clearinghouse record
- Must pass a background check
- Prior tractor-trailer experience
- Able to work outdoors in all weather
- Able to climb in and out of the truck repeatedly during your shift
