About this job
DLI is looking for an experienced Class A driver to run a local shuttle route out of Hudson, WI, moving trailers between the Hudson cross-dock and a nearby customer yard, with cross-training as a yard jockey. You'll be home every day, work a steady Monday through Friday schedule, and handle no-touch freight.
Pay
- $28 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours
- With overtime, total annual earnings run about $80,000 to $94,000
Home time
- Home every day after your shift
- Monday through Friday schedule, weekends off
- Shift starts at 3:00 PM and runs roughly 10 to 12 hours
What you'll haul
- Automatic transmission day cab pulling 48' trailers
- Shuttle trailers about 2 miles between the Hudson cross-dock and a customer yard
- Cross-train as a yard jockey to reposition trailers within the customer yard
- Freight is no-touch, so you won't load or unload
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Solid backing skills with a tractor-trailer
- About 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable maneuvering trailers in a busy yard
- Must live within 30 miles of Hudson, WI
